Welcome To Racing News
Another wild night of racing under threatening skies produced some of the best racing of the year on the newly paved clay track. Both divisions found out that the new surface created a lot more grab and had to adjust accordingly. No major incidents in this division which is what we here at the Pathfinders are trying to promote. Clean racing and SAFETY !!!!! In the Sportsman division it was Logan Laskey in the #97 taking the checkered flag with Mike Haskell driving the #10 mower in 2nd place and Ben Copp in the #00 rounding out the field in 3rd place. The Modified division with the speeds they are reaching was a different story. Norm Dakin driving the #40 was your winner with Chuck Gassett in the #9 coming in 2nd place followed by the ever charging Earl Heathcock in his modified #50 rounding out the field in 3rd place. Halfway through the race with Carl Woodward in the #7 trying to make a pass sent both him and Earl Heathcock in the #50 upside down in the number 4 corner. Luckily no one was seriously hurt and both drivers were able to continue racing. Thanks to all the pit crews and drivers who helped to get the mowers back upright. Again SAFETY is our main concern here at the Pathfinders and tonights racing proves that. Our next race meet which is on the 6th of August and is a scheduled 75 lap Sportsman division feature being sponsored by Hall Implements. Don't miss this one. See you there at 7 pm. Saco Pathfinders

This is an e-mail to notify everyone of some upcoming dates, and new information. We will be doing 2'Big' races in the coming weeks. The 1st one will be August 6th which will be a Sportsman 75 lap feature sponsored by Hall Implements. The 2nd one will be September 3rd which will be a Modified 75 lap feature sponsored by Big Moose Harley Davidson. We will no longer allow mixed class racing. If you are registered in a class, you race that class. The mower raced is the same mower run in the qualifying heat. We will be enforcing mower set-up rules, and behavior rules. We plan to have a new Head-Tech that will be inspecting the mowers pre and post race, as he sees fit. Please check your mowers and the rules. We will also be requiring Pit crews and Drivers to wear pit bracelets. If you do not have a pit bracelet, you will be asked to leave the pit area. This is for safety reasons. We have been trying to tally points so far, but discovered that we have several mowers who are not registered. The following mowers need to be registered at the pit gate at your next race: Sportsman= #69 Modified= #9 #10 #13 #666 If there are any questions or comments feel free to contact us through the Pathfinders e-mail. Thanks, Saco Pathfinders
